My Eureka vacuum cleaner just sucked up a cockroach (yok)?
Do I need to worry about it escaping?
It’s a Eureka Victory “Mega Boss”. It’s a real old model, from the ’90s if not early 2000s. It’s the one where you have to change the bag by hand, I think.
anyway, does a trapped (living) animal or insect that it sucks up have difficulty escaping? is the inside complex to escape out of?

Cockroaches can live weeks without food/ water, but still might lay eggs. Kill it. Spray bug killer on a paper towel or sprinkle dry bug killer on the floor & vacuum it up. Cover the end of the hose with foil, then leave the vacuum outside overnight before you change the bag. Good Luck! ((^_^))
